EBook is nothing more than a program that allows you to read electronic
books/FanFic. Why read the same old boring plain text or be stuck online
reading a HTML web page? EBook will allow you to read electronic books with
a little flavor thrown in. It has color, graphics, bookmarking, and is organized
like a book, not one huge honking text or HTML file.
I know, I know, what the heck am I talking about? Think of a paperback book, you have a cover, the book is broken down into chapters, author's notes, etc. Well EBook does the same thing. Once you have downloaded a EBook and opened it you will see a 'cover'. This is usually a graphic designed for the particular book you are reading with the title and author below it. Click on the authors name and it'll open a E-Mail to them. Let's see you do that with a text file! It also breaks the story down into chapters, author's notes, etc just like a real book. If your reading a book and have to leave for some reason you can easley bookmark it and come back to the exact place you left off. You can't do that with text or HTML. But I have all these text and HTML books I've already downloaded. You want me to get rid of those just to use your stupid program!? Well, no. EBook will open text files (No wordwrap at this time BUT bookmark works great) or regular HTML files with full formatting and bookmaking capabilities. Well, I downloaded your program, where are the stories!?!? The only way to download EBook stories is through EBook. Here are step by step instructions for downloading and reading a story. We'll say that you want to download Long Time, No See by Anne. Once you have installed EBook and have it running Select File Select Download FanFic ( This will open the download window). Now click on Get List (This will download what books are available). Click on the Long Time, No See hyperlink and it will begin to download. After it has downloaded close the DL window. Select File Select Open. You should see a long1.mnu Select the file and Click OK. Enjoy the book! When you register your version of EBook (It's FREE) I will put you on my mailing list.
